Aviation Systems

John is President of the Systems Solutions organization of Aviation Systems from GE. This organization provides the systems engineering, technology and integration functions for Aviation Systems.

John was born in McCall, Idaho. He attended Washington State University, where he received his B.S. degree in Mechanical engineering in 1982. He then joined the Boeing Company where he worked in the flight controls area for three years. While working at Boeing he attended the University of Washington and graduated with a M.S. degree in engineering in 1985.

John then joined Honeywell Aerospace in 1985, his career spanned 21 years, he worked in both the Military, and Commercial divisions -- primarily in Engineering, and Program management. He was involved in the development of Avionics for multiple military, and commercial aircraft platforms.

He joined General Electric's Aviation Systems group in 2006 and is currently working as head of Systems Solutions and Engineering & Technology.

John is married to Debi and they have four children -- 3 girls, ages 18, 16, and 12, and one boy age 15. He loves outdoor activities including Skiing, Motocross, and biking.
