Environment, Health & Safety LeaderKeith Harshman was appointed Environment, Health and Safety Leader, for Aviation Systems from GE in June 2007. He is responsible for leading implementation and execution of management systems to assure environmental, health and safety compliance with regulatory and requirements globally in Systems.
Prior to assuming his current position, he served as the Global EHS Compliance Assurance Leader for GE Consumer & Industrial. Keith has over 16 years of environment, health and safety experience at GE, and other leadership positions have included GE Appliances Manager of Environment, Health and Safety, EHS Manager for Consumer Products Americas, and EHS Manager for Consumer & Industrial Americas. Keith joined GE in 1980 as a facilities engineer at the GE aircraft engines plant in Evendale, OH and progressed to Manager of Evendale Facilities and Construction prior to moving into environment, health and safety.
Following service in the US Army Corps of Engineers out of college, Keith worked as a wastewater treatment project engineer and later as the manager of the civil-sanitary engineering design department at architectural engineering consulting firms in Ohio and Florida. Keith graduated from Ohio State University with bachelors and masters degrees in Civil Engineering, majoring in water and wastewater treatment and environmental engineering. He is a registered professional engineer in the State of Ohio and a past member of Ohio River Valley Water Sanitation Commission (ORSANCO)
