The SENTINEL II walk-through portal can screen seven people per minute. In common with other detection devices in the Smiths product range Sentinel II performs a real time chemical analysis and identifies a “fingerprint” of a target substance. The technology is so sensitive that even a minute concentration of explosives, drug residue or a chemical agent on the skin or clothing will be detected.
