Netherlands Civil Defence Orders Chemical Agent Monitors From Smiths Detection

The scale of the order is not being disclosed but deliveries will begin shortly from Smiths Detection in Watford, UK. The ECAM will give the Netherlands Ministry of Interior a core capability that can be deployed as necessary.

The ECAM is one of the latest versions of the product first developed for the Swiss Government, which allows the CAM to be used as both a monitor and detector. Switzerland purchased some 5,600 units, with another six countries having purchased the ECAM during the last three years.
