Smiths Aerospace delivers updated Boeing 777-300ER systems14 June 2003Dr. John Ferrie, Group Managing Director of Smiths Aerospace commented, "The updated systems utilise the latest advances in technology to reduce weight and cost of ownership for customer airlines."
The ELMS2 system will be fitted to all Boeing 777 airplanes delivered from October 2003 and the UFQIS from mid 2004. The first 777-300ER is scheduled for delivery to International Lease Finance Corp., and its customer Air France in April 2004. These systems will also be fitted to the forthcoming Boeing 777-200LR (Longer Range) model.

Smiths has a proven record in the development and supply of Integrated Electrical Management and Ultrasonic Fuel Indicating Systems with approximately 440 777s in service with airlines around the world. Smiths has developed further integrated Electrical and Utilities Management Systems on a number of other high profile commercial and military aircraft.
