The actuation system incorporates Smiths advanced and proprietary locking actuator technology. The system will provide the CJ3 with landing gear and flight control hydraulic actuators, which extend and retract the main and nose landing gear, speed brakes and flaps. The electronic horizontal situation indicator (EHSI) will provide the aircraft's navigation data on a single full color 3ATI active matrix liquid crystal display. The unit is a derivative of a family of indicators capable of operating in the highly agile and rigorous conditions that combat aircraft operate.

The hydraulic system for the CJ3 provides a preferred technical solution in locking actuator technology by utilizing its proven internal lock segment design for landing gear actuators during more than 32 years experience developing and qualifying similar designs on a wide range of aircraft. The Cessna EHSI is the latest generation of 3ATI AMLCD products which include advanced processors and anti-aliased graphics available in both repeater and self-sensing models. A sister product, the Integrated Standby Instrument System (ISIS), can be paired with the EHSI to incorporate the main functions of the pilot's primary flight display into a 3ATI standby instrument suite.
