Smiths secures $30M opportunity on Apache: Advanced Electrical Power Management System for Japanese AH-64D14 June 2003The Smiths Aerospace facility in Cheltenham will work closely with Kanto to supply the AEPMS technology and the systems will be assembled and tested at the Kanto facility in Fujisawa Japan. Smiths electrical power management system is standard on the Boeing 777 and the AH-64D Longbow Apache.
About the Advanced Electrical Power Management System:The system is comprised of two high power switching modules containing the primary power buses, high power contractors and circuit breakers; and two electrical load centres, located in the avionics bay, providing the monitoring and control of the system. The system also contains the secondary power distribution buses and remote power switches. |
