Smiths Aerospace and Argo-Tech provide fuel system for X-47B Joint Unmanned Combat Air Systems

Argo-Tech is responsible for the fuel system integration including the design and development of the engine feed, transfer, refuel and vent subsystems and the fuel system qualification. Smiths will provide the fuel gauging and management software technology.

J-UCAS is a DARPA / Air Force / Navy effort to develop a high performance, weaponized unmanned air vehicle that meets the mission requirements for both the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Navy.

Northrop Grumman Integrated Systems is a premier aerospace and defense systems integration enterprise with the capabilities to design, develop, produce and support fully missionized integrated systems and subsystems.

The X-47 Air Vehicle Fuel System program will be managed by Argo-Tech's Air Frame division in Costa Mesa, California. Argo-Tech is a leader in the development and manufacture of aircraft fuel systems and fuel system components.
