Smiths instrument system selected for ERJ145

The ISIS is a fully integrated, self-sensing standby instrument capable of computing and displaying attitude, altitude, airspeed, heading, mach and ILS within a single 3ATI instrument, with liquid crystal display technology. Smiths Aerospace has been a supplier of standby instruments for more than 50 years and the ISIS has been selected for more than 10 different aircraft platforms across civil and military air transport, regional jets, business jets, trainers and helicopters. Major ISIS customers, besides Embraer, include Bombardier Aerospace, Boeing Commercial, Boeing Military, Westland Helicopters and Lockheed Martin. Standby instruments are provided to ensure that, even in the worst possible circumstances of failure in an aircraft's systems, the pilot will still have a presentation of the most essential flight information.
