Customer TrainingWorldwide responsibility for Customer Training on any equipment produced by GE rests with the Customer Training Unit. All courses are arranged on customer demand rather than by published schedule. ![]() Training is provided for Flight Crew, Engineers, Line Maintenance and Workshop Technicians from both the Civil and Military sectors. It is carried out by two full time instructors, backed by a Support Services Engineer and a Training Coordinator. Practical only training may also be carried out in the Systems Customer Services workshops under the guidance of fully qualified workshop technicians. Courses are held in the purpose built Training Unit at Systems Customer Services facility in Cheltenham, UK. However, instructors can carry out training at customer premises, if required. A variety of aids are used in the provision of any training given, including overhead projectors, 35mm slides, video, rigs and simulators, as well as Computer Based Training. All course attendees are provided with specially produced training notes for their personal use, as well as a certificate of attendance at the end of the course. The Customer Training Unit has continuously provided a Training Service from its inception in 1946 through to the present day, and is certified to ISO 9002 standard.
