This high reliability AMLCD Display unit incorporates analogue and digital signal processing to provide full EFIS functionality in a single LRU. The power requirements and depth of the unit are compatible with the 5ATI electro-mechanical ADI/HSI indicators it is designed to replace. This provides a simple EFIS upgrade for many classic aircraft, since no additional SGU is required. In addition to the ADI/HSI function the 5ATI IDU can also process and display FMS map (A702), Weather Radar (A708) and TAWS (ASPB).
