The IDU features integral signal and video processing and graphics generation eliminating the need for a separate SGU or Mission Computer, thereby reducing power, weight and volume requirements. Various display sizes are available, 6¼”x6¼”, 8”x6”, 6”x8”, 10”x8” and larger. External control panels or integrated bezel controls are used to control the units. Multiple video, A429, analogue and discrete interfaces are available to drive the unit. An NVIS compatible version of the IDU is available. The unit can be fitted as a stand-alone display or with other IDU to provide a fully integrated Cockpit Display System (CDS).
