GE flat panel Multifunction Control Display Units (MCDU) employ a large full color AMLCD, which complements the modern aircraft instrument panel, and are suitable for both military and civil applications.
The broad functionality of the MCDU accommodates industry standard (ARINC-739) interfaces to support installation on various civil and military aircraft platforms. The MCDU is designed to support incremental stages of CNS/ATM Implementation.
GE has incorporated advanced AMLCD technology in its display product line for nearly a decade. This experience has enabled many military and commercial customers to take advantage of the enhanced visual quality of the flat panel display. The MCDU design offers improved reliability together with reduced weight, volume, power consumption, and depth. The result is reduced cost of ownership.
