Partitioned software ensures operational integrity and permits low cost software upgrades because changes within partitions do not affect other partitions.
The FMS is configurable for commercial or military applications. With GATM ready software, aircraft can be configured for navigation into commercial airspace worldwide - with performance characteristics selected for optimal economy and/or arrival requirements. The same system can be configured with specialized tactical software to meet a broad range of military mission requirements.
The power of the system lies within its capacity to be configured for a broad range of applications, to be GATM capable, and to remain current with technological advancements in both its hardware and software components.
