RADS-AT™

RADS-AT.html_asc001.jpg

Rotor Analysis & Diagnostic System - Advanced Technology (RADS-AT") is a versatile measurement and diagnostic system that expands to form a complete and affordable mechanical diagnostic tool for all helicopter users. New features allow the RADS-AT to perform advance Rotor Disgnostics, Vibration Fault Management and Engine Vibration Diagnostics.

With more than 2,500 RADS-AT systems in use, GE is the major supplier for rotor diagnostic equipment to the U.S. Army. As the primary helicopter vibration reduction tool used by both military and civil operators worldwide to smooth their fleet, the GE RADS-AT is the industry standard for carry-aboard Rotor Track and Balance (RTB) systems.

In addition to its unparalleled speed and accuracy, the RADS-AT offers a 'single-shot' diagnostics capability. This enables the operator to minimize multi-axis main and tail rotor once-per-rev vibration and main rotor relative track across the flight envelope by the automatic calculation and recommendation of simultaneous multiple rotor blade adjustments (pitch link, hub-weight and tab as applicable) - all based on a single flight.

The RADS-AT has been selected by Bell, Eurocopter, AgustaWestland, Sikorsky and others to maximize the effectiveness and benefits of RTB procedures for their customers.

Features

  • Fast - less than 20 seconds to record and process data at each flight condition

  • Simple - single key press to simultaneously measure vibration and blade track/lag data

  • Fully configurable for any helicopter - will store configurations for 25 aircraft types

  • 'Diagnostics Editor' - provides operator with insight into likely effects of different adjustment configurations ('what if' scenarios and 'Best N' adjustment)

  • 400-line and 6400-line (zoom) vibration spectra capture and display

  • Accurate - +/- 2% vibration accuracy, relative blade track to +/- 1mm
  • Fixed and automatic day/night Universal Blade Tracker - no strobe to hold or aim
  • Credit Card Memory interface

Benefits

  • Proven cost savings through reduced dedicated maintenance flights

  • Improved targeting and planning of maintenance

  • Enhanced airworthiness through the capability for automatic and early diagnosis of non-adjustable rotor and airframe defects
