The Video Input Module processes analog and digital video input signals, routes these video inputs through 16x16 Cross-Point switch and providing serialized digital video outputs. The VIM is capable of switching any video input source to any one, or multiple, selected outputs. The VIM is configured to process the following video input types:

• RS-170 RGB (2)

• RS-343 (1)

• NTSC/RS-170 SPMTE (2)

• Digital fiber channel (4) - software selectable as fiber optic or copper

The VIM is designed to be used in conjunction with the Overlay Video Module (OVM) to provide a fiber optic video output.
