Electrical Motor-Driven Fans

GE electrically driven fans are typically used for aircraft avionics cooling, cargo exhaust, cabin air circulation, air conditioning and for heater/blower applications. Flow range is 100 to 1,000 CFM.

These fans are typically powered by three-phase 400 Hz AC power that is common to large transport aircraft. High power density integral AC motors enable maximum performance while minimizing weight and size.

GE also manufactures DC-powered fans.

Variable-speed motor controllers can be provided as can controllers for wild frequency operation.

Customized fan designs, such as axial, mixed-flow and centrifugal, are specially configured to meet flow, pressure and noise requirements of the application.
