Both butterfly- and poppet-type regulators are available. These designs emphasize performance and reliability.

Excellent thermal isolation between the flow body and the actuator of butterfly-type regulators enable operation at duct air temperatures up to 1300 ºF (704 ºC). Duct sizes are typically one inch to three inches in diameter.

For highly accurate and stable operation over a wide range of inlet pressures and flows, GE has developed pressure regulators with two feedback loops. With these, accuracies of ±2 percent are possible.
