GE provides a large number of High Lift Actuation Systems for a majority of the world's leading civil aircraft military applications including Boeing 787/767/777, Airbus A380/330/340 and the CASA/ITPN CN-235.

High Lift Actuation includes the equipment to control the movements of wing aerodynamic surfaces such as leading edge slat panels and trailing edge flap panels. These surfaces augment the lift co-efficient of the wing and are deployed for take-off and landing on most aircraft but also for specific extreme manoeuvres on military aircraft. The actuation system can be driven either by electrical or hydraulic power.

GE normally contracts for system responsibility, which includes all aspects of design, development, integration, certification and series production.
